Accident Types
Types of Case
Personal Injury law, and the issues involved in the claims process are always
changing. As a result we have identified a need to subdivide the department into
specialist areas. Having case handlers who are dedicated to handling certain types of
accident claims or injuries means that we are able to apply the law efficiently and
knowledgably, and at the same time gain a greater understanding of your current and
future needs.
However whatever the type of claim, your compensation will be based on two types of damages: General Damages - the award given for pain, suffering and loss of amenity; and Special Damages - recovery of all financial losses and out of pocket expenses. When handling a claim, our solicitors will consider all of the following in respect of an individual's financial
needs:
• Home adaptation
• Provision of equipment and apparatus (and regular renewal thereof)
• Vehicle adaptation
• Loss of earnings
• Loss of future prospects
• Re-employment
• Loss of pension contributions
• Carers and respite care
• Investing damages to provide growth
We do not make any deductions from your compensation – you keep 100%.
